Is the inheritance of the Gentiles and the ends of the earth about the church or the kingdom?

The inheritance of the Gentiles and the uttermost parts of the earth is about the kingdom, not the church. It is not the age of grace. This promise to the Messiah describes the kingdom that could have immediately followed His ascension and the tribulation, had Israel accepted Him.

Les explains that in verse 8 God is speaking to the Messiah, promising the heathen or Gentiles as His inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth as His possession. Les identifies this as the kingdom, not the church and not the age of grace. He notes that this kingdom could have immediately followed the ascension and the tribulation, if Israel had not rejected and crucified the Messiah. Instead, God speaks in wrath and vexation—the tribulation—and then sets His King on the holy hill of Zion. So the inheritance belongs to the kingdom program.
