Does God still mean what He says about praying without ceasing and bringing Him our requests and praise?
Yes. God still means what He says: pray without ceasing, and in everything bring Him your supplications, the desires of your heart, praise, and thanksgiving. He has not changed. Believers should therefore pray earnestly, especially knowing this age is nearing its end and the world is preparing for the Antichrist.
Les teaches that when God says "pray without ceasing," that is exactly what He means, and when He says in everything to bring Him our supplications, the desires of our heart, and our praise and thanksgiving, He still means it. He has not changed. Les gives another reason believers should be praying extra hard: if we know anything about prophecy, we are quite sure we are in the final days and hours of this age, and the whole world's system is getting ready for the man of sin, the man Antichrist. God has left the responsibility to keep the timing aspect on track with born-again believers so that He does not come on the scene before it is time. In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, Paul says that day will not come except there come a falling away first, an apostasy or departure of the saints; the Antichrist will not appear before the church is gone. Verses 4 and 5 describe the man of sin opposing and exalting himself above all that is called God or worshipped, sitting in the temple of God and showing himself that he is God, and Paul reminds them he had told them these things.
