When will the time be ripe for a strong man to appear in prophecy?
According to the prophetic scenario, the time becomes ripe when the ten nations of the revived Roman Empire seem to have their act together, yet widespread turmoil—like that seen in Europe—creates the conditions. Out of those ten nations, a strong man, the Antichrist, will then appear.
Les teaches that this is a projection he cannot prove, but from Scripture it appears that when the ten nations feel they have their act together, so much turmoil—as seen in Europe today—will make the time ripe for the appearance of a strong man. That strong man is the Antichrist, the little horn arising from the ten nations of the revived Roman Empire, the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar's vision. Les suggests three smaller nations will lose their identity, gobbled up by the other seven, and from the remaining seven comes the Antichrist. He also notes these two great prophetic books work hand-in-glove.
