When did the Roman Empire disappear from the scene according to this teaching?

According to this teaching, the Roman Empire passed off the scene in about the 300s, between A.D. 300 and 400. It did not continue as the earlier empire but simply disappeared. This transition followed its division into East and West, with Constantinople and Rome as respective centers.

Les teaches that the Roman Empire comes on the scene after earlier political powers and is normally thought of as governed by the Caesars, though in reality it was a republic dependent on a senate and representatives. He identifies its two legs as East and West: the East capitalized at Constantinople and the West stayed at Rome. Daniel’s text describes the divided kingdom as part iron and part clay, partly strong and partly broken, with no real strength. Les then states that the Roman Empire passed off the scene between about A.D. 300 and 400, disappearing in the rise and fall of the Roman Empire.
