What happened to Alexander the Great's kingdom after he died?

After Alexander the Great completed his conquest and died at age 33, his kingdom was divided between four generals. It did not remain under one ruler. This division followed Greece succeeding Medo-Persia as the next kingdom in the sequence of kingdoms.

Les explains that after the Mede and Persian Empire, the next kingdom from secular history was the kingdom of Alexander the Great of Greece. He notes that as soon as Alexander completed his conquest at the age of 33, he died, and his kingdom was divided between four generals. This fits the same flow of kingdoms, following Babylon’s head of gold and the inferior Medo-Persian kingdom.
