Where will the Lord's feet stand when He returns?
At His second coming, the Lord's feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, the same mount from which He ascended in Acts chapter 1. Zechariah 14 places it before Jerusalem, on earth, not a heavenly Mount of Olives, following the gathering of nations against Jerusalem for battle.
Les teaches from Zechariah chapter 14 that this prophecy refers to the kingdom following Christ's second coming. He notes that all nations will gather against Jerusalem to battle—Armageddon, the last great battle—and the city will be taken. Then the Lord Jehovah will go forth and fight against those nations. In verse 4, Les explains that His feet—the feet of the same Lord who ascended in Acts chapter 1 and returned to the Father—will stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem. Les emphasizes that this is not another Mount of Olives in heaven, but the same earthly mount He left.
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
