Where will Christ stand at His Second Coming?

At His Second Coming, Christ will stand with His feet on the Mount of Olives. This event follows the Tribulation and is distinct from the Rapture, where believers meet the Lord in the air. Scripture presents the Mount of Olives as the place of His return.

Les teaches that after the Rapture—when the alive and remaining are caught up to meet the Lord in the air—the final seven years, or Tribulation, is ushered in. That period is associated with prophecies concerning Israel. When the Tribulation ends, the Second Coming of Christ occurs. Les emphasizes the graphic difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming: at the Second Coming, Christ will stand with His feet on the Mount of Olives. He uses Matthew 24 as the prime example, noting that Old Testament, Jesus, and Gospel accounts of Christ's coming never refer to the Rapture of the Church, the meeting in the air. The Rapture was a secret revealed by and to the Apostle Paul. All other end-time references are directed to the Second Coming, when He will come and stand in that day on the Mount of Olives.
