Into what kingdom has the Father already translated believers?
The Father has already translated believers into the kingdom of His dear Son. Paul writes that God delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us into that kingdom. Believers are therefore already in the kingdom, even while awaiting Christ's second coming and the earthly kingdom.
Les explains from Colossians chapter 1 that Paul is praying for the Colossi believers, and this prayer is valid for us today. In verse 12, Paul gives thanks unto the Father, who has prepared us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. Then in verse 13, the Father has past tense delivered us from the power of darkness and has already translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Les stresses that Paul always speaks to or on behalf of believers, never an unbeliever. So if you are a child of God, you are already in the kingdom. When Christ comes at His second coming and sets up the kingdom on the earth, believers will be with Him.
