What will the Antichrist and false prophet do together?
The Antichrist and the false prophet will consort together to amalgamate all the world's religions and centralize worship on one great image of the Antichrist. The false prophet will cause earth's inhabitants to worship the Antichrist and make an image to him, and he will have power to give life to that image.
Les explains that the Antichrist and the false prophet are two great world leaders—men, not animals—though bestial in their ruthless treatment of humanity. The false prophet, a false religious leader and counterfeit Holy Spirit, will cause the people of the earth to worship the Antichrist, who is a counterfeit of the Son. Together they will consort to do what Nebuchadnezzar did: amalgamate all the world's religions and meld them into worship of one great image. The false prophet will tell earth's inhabitants to make an image to the beast who had the wound by sword and did live, and he will have power to give life to that image. Les notes this is not beyond present technology, citing the Japanese work on a living cell computer.
