Why is a doctrine that doesn't fit the whole Bible unreliable?

A doctrine that fails to fit the whole Bible is unreliable because every verse must be understood in its context and will always harmonize with the entire scriptural message. If a teaching does not align from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22, it rests on thin ice, since correct understanding shows all Scripture beautifully fits together.

Les explains that we have to look at every verse in its context, and it will always dovetail with the whole. He has told people over twenty-some years of teaching that if your doctrine doesn't fit from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22, the last verse, you're on thin ice, because it will all beautifully fit together if you understand it correctly. A doctrine that fails to fit the whole Bible is therefore unreliable because it cannot be harmonized with the consistent, contextual message of Scripture from beginning to end.
