What kind of Christ is the antichrist compared to the true Christ?

The antichrist is a false, counterfeit Christ, described as the man anti-Christ and natural, of the flesh. In contrast, the true Christ is spiritual, and His second coming follows. Scripture consistently shows first the natural, then the spiritual, all the way through.

Les explains that the pattern is first the natural, then the spiritual. Just as we are born natural and of the flesh in our lost estate, then become spiritual through the born-again experience, so at the end times the false Christ, the counterfeit Christ, the man anti-Christ, comes first as natural. He will be followed by the second coming of the true Christ, who is spiritual. This same principle runs all through Scripture. For example, King Saul came on the scene as Israel's first king—natural, of the flesh, not of the Spirit of God—and later David took his place.
