Why can't the church be placed under law or prophecy?

Les explains that true Old Testament prophecy always includes God's exact timing and is associated only with the nation of Israel. Prophecy mandates date setting. But there is no prophecy given to the church, so the church does not know when the Lord will come for her. If a date could be set, that would put the church back under prophecy, which cannot be done. Just as the church cannot be put under law, it cannot be put under prophecy, because the two absolutely will not mix. There is nothing designated date or time wise for the church.
