Why must the Church Age be taken out before the next events of prophecy begin?
The Church Age must be taken out because it is completely insulated from everything written to the nation of Israel under prophecy. After it is complete, the next prophetic events begin: the Antichrist appears, the seven-year tribulation unfolds according to Daniel's timetable, then Christ returns, sets up His Kingdom in Jerusalem, and the millennium follows.
Les explains that after the Church Age is complete—and he feels it is very close—it has to be taken out because it is completely insulated from everything written to the nation of Israel under prophecy. He notes that the Apostle Paul writes to us as Gentiles in the Church Age, and the Old Testament is for our learning, not our doctrine, as Romans 15:4 says: whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Once the Church Age is removed, the next great event on human history is the appearance of the Antichrist and the seven years of tribulation, exactly according to God's timetable coming all the way from Daniel. At the end of those seven years, Christ returns at the Second Coming. As soon as He sets up His Kingdom with His capital in Jerusalem, the 1,000-year millennial reign of Christ begins, and when it ends, we go into eternity. Les says this is basically the whole scheme of everything from Genesis to Revelation.
