Are we living in a time when God is dealing with His covenant people, Israel?
No. We are living in the age of grace, not in the time when God is dealing with His covenant people, Israel. God is still sovereign and all-powerful, but in this age of grace He has chosen not to perform the supernatural, because He has given us His Word.
Les explains that when you deal with God and Israel, the supernatural is commonplace, as seen when Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground at flood stage. However, he points out that we are now living in the age of grace, not the time when God is dealing with His covenant people. God remains the same sovereign, all-powerful God and can still do anything He wants, but in this age of grace He has chosen not to perform the supernatural. The reason, Les suggests, is that He has given us His Word.
