Is God still going to deal with the nation of Israel?
Yes. Though God providentially uprooted Israel because of unbelief, He promised to bring them back in His own time. The Old Testament repeatedly affirms this, and God is still going to deal with His national people, the nation of Israel.
Les explains that God had dealt primarily with the covenant people, the nation of Israel, in the Old Testament. But they were stiff-necked and steeped in unbelief, and finally God allowed the Temple to be destroyed in 70 A.D.; the nation was dispersed and the land emptied. Yet even while God providentially uprooted them because of unbelief, He promised, “I’m going to bring you back again, in My own time I’m going to bring you back.” All the Old Testament screams of that, so God is still going to deal with His national people of Israel.
