Why don't we have to beg God for forgiveness?

Forgiveness is not something to beg for because it is already accomplished; we are already forgiven and it is all done. Instead, a cleansing effect comes from being in the Word. That is what takes the place of begging for forgiveness.

Les teaches that believers never have to beg for forgiveness because they are already forgiven and it is all done. People often beg, “forgive us all our sin,” but he says that is unnecessary. What takes its place is the cleansing effect of being in the Word, though many do not want to take time for that. He connects this same concept to Joshua, where Israel was to saturate themselves with the Law, memorize it, and keep it before them wherever they went.
