What did Les say is the basic problem with the nation?
The basic problem with the beloved nation is that its people have lost all concept of the truth of God's Word. False teachers are coming from every direction, and the average believer or church member is totally confused, unable to know right from wrong or sift out the rubbish.
Les ties the nation's basic problem to widespread confusion caused by false teachers in the last days. Using 2 Peter 2 and Jude, he warns that false teachers come from every direction and hue, fellowship with church people while filled with false teaching, and leave the average believer unable to distinguish right from wrong or sift out the rubbish. That dilemma, Les says, is basically the problem with our beloved nation: the people have just lost all concept of the truth of God's Word. He then points to Balaam and the false teachers' practices, including adulterating the Word by mixing paganism with biblical truth.
