How is God's redemption of Israel from Egypt like the redemption of believers today?

God’s redemption of Israel from Egypt parallels believers’ redemption today: He buys back and pays the price. In Exodus 6:6 God redeems Israel out of Egypt; verse 7 says He takes them as His people and becomes their God, and verse 8 connects this to the Abrahamic covenant. Believers in this age of grace share that redemption.

Les teaches that Exodus 6:6 speaks of God redeeming the children of Israel out of Egypt. He explains that God is going to buy them back and pay the price, just as He has done in our own redemption as believers in this age of grace. In verses 7–8, God says He will take Israel to Himself for a people, be their God, and they shall know that He is the Lord their God who brings them out from the burdens of the Egyptians. Les also reminds his listeners of the Abrahamic covenant.
