Les Feldick Bible Study

Is God all through with the Jewish people?

No. God has not forgotten His covenants made with Abraham and Isaac, and He will never forget them. Though many people believe God is finished with the Jew, His covenants remain uppermost regarding the nation of Israel, and He remembers His covenant to give them the land of Canaan.

Les makes clear that the idea God is all through with the Jew is false. He points back to Exodus 6, where God says He has established His covenant to give the children of the covenant, the children of Abraham, the nation of Israel, the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage wherein they were strangers. God also says He heard the groaning of the children of Israel in Egyptian bondage and remembered His covenant. Les stresses that God will never forget it, and that many people tonight think God is all through with the Jew and has forgotten all about His covenants made with Abraham and Isaac — but he says, don't you believe it. God has still got His covenants uppermost with regard to the nation of Israel. He is everything to the nation of Israel, and all of Scripture rests on that Abrahamic covenant God made with Abraham. In the same passage God declares He will bring Israel out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, rid them out of their bondage, and redeem them — buying them back and paying the price to set them free.
