Was the apostle Paul about the same age as Jesus?
Yes. According to the chronologists cited, Paul was about the same age as Christ. When Jesus began His earthly ministry at age 30, Saul of Tarsus was about the same age, a young up-and-comer in Judaism, though Saul and Jesus never crossed paths.
Les explains that as near as the chronologists he studies can tell, Paul was about the same age as Christ. So when Jesus began His earthly ministry at the age of 30, Saul of Tarsus was about the same age, and he was a young up-and-comer in the religion of the Jew, in Judaism. Even though Saul and Jesus never crossed paths, Saul knew who Jesus was, what He was doing, where He had come from, and all about Him. Paul can therefore rightly say that the "we" had known Christ after the flesh, yet henceforth they know Him no more.
