How old were Jesus and the Apostle Paul at the time of Jesus' ministry and crucifixion?
Jesus began His earthly ministry at age 30 and was crucified at 33. The Apostle Paul, then Saul of Tarsus, was a key man of the Sanhedrin and estimated to be in his 30s as well; the context suggests the two were almost identically the same age.
Les teaches that Jesus was 30 when He began His earthly ministry and was 33 when He was crucified. He says Saul of Tarsus, who became the Apostle Paul, was one of the key men of the Sanhedrin and no doubt was in his 30s too. Les thinks they were almost identically the same age. As Saul heard about Jesus' miracles and more Jews following the Messiah from Nazareth, it infuriated him because he was defending his religion.
