What did ancient Egyptians consider to be gods?

Ancient Egyptians regarded everything in Egypt as a god. The frogs, the moon, the sun, and every animal they could think of were considered gods, and each one had a name. This explains why Pharaoh asked who Jehovah was and viewed Him as merely another god.

Les explains that in Egypt everything was a god: the frogs, the moon, the sun, and every animal imaginable, and they all had a name. So when Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh with the message, 'Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go,' and spoke of Jehovah, Pharaoh naturally responded, 'Who is Jehovah?' He considered Jehovah just another one of the gods of Israel, but not one that meant anything to him. He declared, 'I know not Jehovah, neither will I let Israel go.' Les notes that these people were just as human as we are, and their government functioned much like governments today; Pharaoh was being confronted with losing the Israelis.
