Why did God make Aaron Moses' spokesman?

Because Moses protested that he lacked a tongue and could not speak, God in His anger appointed Aaron to be Moses' mouthpiece. Aaron became the spokesman, while Moses remained the one through whom God gave the words and direction to speak.

Les teaches that after Moses cried that he did not have a tongue and could not speak, God in His anger said He would let Aaron be Moses' mouthpiece. This brought Moses and Aaron together, and they were brothers. Aaron then became the spokesman, but Moses was the one through whom God did the speaking and gave the direction. Later, Moses and Aaron gathered the elders of Israel in Goshen, and Aaron spoke all the words the Lord had spoken unto Moses, showing the order God established.
