Why did God send Moses to Pharaoh?
God commissioned Moses to confront Pharaoh for the distinct purpose of bringing Israel out of bondage. Moses was to lead Israel out, but he first had to overcome his own timidity after 40 years herding sheep in the desert. This was God's plan for Israel's deliverance.
Les teaches that God commissioned Moses to go and confront Pharaoh for the distinct purpose of bringing Israel out of bondage. However, Moses would have difficulty, and the first difficulty was overcoming his own timidity. Moses had spent 40 years on the backside of the desert herding sheep, with almost no contact with public or populated areas, so he had become insecure. He still claimed he could not do it, even after God's commission.
