What land did God deed to Abraham in Genesis 15?

The whole Middle East was deeded to Abraham in Genesis 15. The covenant promised that out of Abraham would come a nation that God would place in a land with a government and Himself as King. This transfer was Israel's deed, carried out by Jehovah through ancient real estate rites.

Les explains that Genesis 15 comes shortly after God gave Abraham the covenant that out of him would come a nation, and God would put them in a land and give them a government, with Himself as King. In Genesis 15 verse 8, Abraham asked, "Whereby shall I know that I'll inherit this land that you're talking about?" God then literally descended to man's level and went through the very rites of transferring real estate. Les notes in the margin from verse 12 to the end: Israel's deed. Jehovah came down and carried out the rite of real estate transfer as they did in antiquities. As He was deeding the whole Middle East to Abraham, He gave prophecy beginning in verse 13: Abraham's seed would be a stranger in a land not theirs, referring to Egypt, serve them, and be afflicted four hundred years.

Genesis 15:13

And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
