What did Satan do after God's promise in Genesis 3:15 that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent's head?
After God promised the woman’s seed would crush the serpent’s head, Satan immediately worked throughout the human race to prevent that seed from coming to fruition. He sought to destroy the people through whom the Messiah must come, causing repeated genocide against Israel and, in Egypt, moving the king to kill all the boy babies at birth.
Les explains that Genesis 3:15 is the backdrop: God told Satan the seed of the woman would crush the serpent’s head. From that point, Satan began doing everything he could to keep this seed of the woman from ever coming to fruition. That is why Israel suffered complete demolition and genocide through her history, because Satan was attempting to totally remove the group through whom the Savior or Messiah must come. Even before Israel entered the land of promise, Satan tried to stop it in its tracks; his first ploy was to kill all the boy babies as they were born, with the excuse that they were multiplying too fast. The midwives feared God and did not obey the king of Egypt but saved the men’s children alive.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
