What did Satan start doing after God promised that the woman's seed would crush his head?

After God promised the woman's seed would crush his head, Satan began working throughout the human race to keep that seed from coming to fruition. He tried to destroy the people through whom the Messiah would come, even prompting the killing of all male babies as they were born.

Les teaches that after God told Satan in Genesis 3:15 that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent's head, Satan immediately began doing everything he could to keep that seed from ever coming to fruition. Les explains that this is why Israel suffered complete demolition and genocide throughout her history: Satan was attempting to totally remove the group of people through whom the Savior or the Messiah must come. Even before Israel entered the land of promise and could get started on the promises associated with the Abrahamic covenant, Satan tried to stop it in its tracks. His first ploy was to kill all the boy babies as they were born, with the excuse that they were multiplying too fast. But the midwives feared God, did not do as the king of Egypt commanded, and saved the men's children alive.

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
