Les Feldick Bible Study

Does the without-error teaching apply to Bible translations or only to the originals?

The without-error teaching applies to the original manuscripts, not to Bible translations. Translations may contain a minor error here or there because they are translations, yet God has been jealous of His Word and has not permitted gross error to enter, so readers can still believe it.

Les explains that while the Word of God is perfect and without error, that perfection refers to the originals. He notes that our Bibles are translations and may contain a little error here and there because they are translations. On the other hand, he has always maintained that God has been so jealous of His Word that He has not permitted gross error to come in. There may be a word or two here and there, or maybe a number that lost its original through translating, but you can believe it.
