According to Psalm 110:1, when will Christ return?
Psalm 110:1 indicates Christ will return after He sits at the Father's right hand and the Father makes His enemies His footstool. The return occurs when that subduing work is completed, as the verse says, 'until I make your enemies your footstool,' and then He will return.
Les explains that Psalms 110:1 records God the Father speaking to the Son, telling Him to sit at His right hand until His enemies are made His footstool. Only after that will Christ return. This fits the pattern seen in Joseph, who was rejected, considered dead, restored to life, and then took a Gentile bride. Likewise, Christ was rejected by Israel, exiled from His rightful throne in Jerusalem, and went back to heaven, but He will return once the Father subdues His enemies.
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
