What did Psalm 110:1 tell the people about Jesus being in heaven?

Psalm 110:1 told the people that God had called Jesus back to heaven, ready to yet return and still able to give them the Kingdom. This assured them that although they killed their King and Messiah, God raised Him from the dead, and His purposes were not thwarted.

Les teaches that Peter is making the point that even though they had killed their King, their Messiah, they didn't thwart God, because God raised Him from the dead. He notes that they knew from Psalm 110 verse 1 that God had called Him back to heaven, ready to yet return, and still able to give them the Kingdom. Les emphasizes that Peter confirms Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, but nowhere does Peter ascribe salvation to it; he states it as a fact. This Psalm 110:1 truth showed Jesus' heavenly position and continuing readiness to return and give the Kingdom.
