What does it mean to come to God for salvation?

Coming to God for salvation means acknowledging oneself as a totally undone creature who can do nothing to earn it, then calling out for God’s mercy and grace, believing that everything needed was accomplished at the cross. It is salvation by grace, received through faith, with nothing added.

Les explains that even Saul, who was pursuing believers to arrest and imprison them, was saved by grace when God intervened. He did not deserve it, work for it, or do anything for it; he simply asked, “Lord, what would you have me to do?” Les teaches that this is grace, and that every person must come to the same place: a total undone creature with nothing to do except call out for the mercy and grace of God, believing everything needed was done at the cross. That is faith, and nothing can be added to it.
