Les Feldick Bible Study

What does God ask a person to do to be saved?

God asks a person simply to believe in the finished work of the cross—that He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death for our sins. Salvation rests on believing that bedrock truth, not human effort. Though profound, the requirement is simple: believe it, yet the world refuses.

Les explains that the death of the cross is the very bedrock of our salvation. He says that we believe that, and it is so simple that people stumble over it, yet so complex that even a thousand years would not let us comprehend the power of the work of the cross. What God asks us to do is believe it, and the world refuses. Les also points out that He gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from this present evil world, just as Rome rotted from within and America follows the same road.
