How much time passed between Acts 9:25 and Acts 9:26?

A three-year gap probably separates Acts 9:25 and Acts 9:26. Scripture indicates that after being let down the wall, Saul did not go to Jerusalem until a long time later, showing a gap between those verses. The context explains this by comparing Acts with Galatians.

Les teaches that between Acts 9:25 and Acts 9:26 there is probably a three-year gap in time. He notes that God had to providentially get Saul out of Damascus, and he did not go up to Jerusalem. The question arises because Acts 9:26 says Saul came to Jerusalem after verse 25 records his escape. Les explains that you have to know Scripture and learn how to study, because Paul says clearly in Galatians that he did not go to Jerusalem until a long time later. He then goes back to Galatians, comparing it with Romans as fundamental Grace Age doctrine, to support that gap.

Acts 9:26

And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.
