Les Feldick Bible Study

What is grace, according to Les?

Grace is that attribute of God capable of pouring out undeserved favor and mercy on sinners, including sons of Adam, all because of the love poured out at the cross. It is the opposite of being under the law; believers are not under law but under grace.

Les explains that grace is not the concept most people have. God does not expect us never to fall; when we do, He is right there ready to pick us up and put us on our way. Les points out that we today are not under the law but under grace. Grace is that attribute of God capable of pouring out undeserved favor and mercy on sinners like us, sons of Adam, all because of the love poured out at the cross—love epitomized, as great an act of love as has ever been done, because He loved us as sinners, undeserving, not as angelic beings. Paul says he does not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness comes by the law, by legalism, then Christ is dead in vain.
