How did God's provision of the ram in Genesis 22 show that God has never changed?

God has never changed because He consistently provides the needed sacrifice. After saying a willing sin offering lay at the door, God later providentially supplied a ram caught in the thicket for Abraham. Abraham took it to the altar without difficulty and called the place Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides.

Les teaches that God has never changed. Earlier, God said that if a person could not bring a lamb on his own, a sacrificial sin offering lay at the door, and the lamb would not fight but would be perfectly willing to be taken as a sacrifice. In Genesis 22, the same principle appears: God providentially provided the ram caught in the thicket, and Abraham evidently had no problem taking that ram to the altar, with no help except maybe Isaac. Abraham called the place Jehovah Jireh, meaning the Lord who provides, or Jehovah the provider.
