Who did God deliver when He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah?

God delivered Lot when He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Scripture calls him 'just Lot,' meaning a justified, righteous man, not merely 'only' Lot. The context notes he was vexed by the ungodly conduct of those cities. Their destruction serves as an example to the ungodly.

Les explains that in the process of destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, God delivered 'just Lot.' Peter uses Sodom and Gomorrah as an example: God turned those cities into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those who would afterward live ungodly. Les points out that God is still the God of heaven, unchanging, and what He did previously as an example, He is ready to do again.
