What did God predetermine before the beginning of the world?

Before the world began, God predetermined His eternal plan of the ages. Paul writes in Ephesians 3 that this plan included the crucifixion, the resurrection, and the ascension, with every jot and tittle detail formulated in a predetermining council before anything ever began to happen.

Les explains that in the plan of the ages, according to the eternal purposes Paul describes in Ephesians 3, the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension were determined. Every little detail was formulated in the predetermining council before anything began. Les also connects this to Genesis 1: the triune God, in all His power and sovereignty, delegated creation to the Son, who spoke the Word and brought the universes, angelic hosts, Adam, and Eve into being. He further emphasizes dividing God's dealings between Israel, His earthly people, and the church, His heavenly people.
