Why has the world been in turmoil for the past 6,000 years?
The world has been in turmoil for 6,000 years because of the curse. That curse produces war, pestilence, catastrophe, and enmity between individuals, nations, and family members. It also brings sickness and disease. The repeated reason for these conditions is the curse.

That history includes war, pestilence, catastrophe, and enmity between individuals, nations, and family members. Sickness and disease likewise point back to the same answer: the curse. In the earlier verses, the cross is where Satan was defeated and where Christ's heel was bruised through suffering.
