Why does the Bible repeat phrases like 'after its kind' so often in Genesis 1?

Scripture repeats “after His kind” for emphasis, causing readers to take note. It stresses that God created every form of life—plant, bird, marine, and animal—within its own kind, and nothing has ever been able to break away from that created fact.

Les teaches that whenever the Bible repeats something rather often within a short period of time, even within a chapter or two, it is there for emphasis, and God wants us to take note. In the creation account, after plant life, bird life, and marine life, the text again says the earth brought forth the living creature after His kind—cattle, creeping things, and beasts of the earth after His kind. Les emphasizes that God created everything within its own kind, and nothing has ever been able to break away from that one fact.

Genesis 1:24

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
