How are we made righteous and given right standing with God?
According to Paul, we are made righteous and given right standing with God by the Gospel he preached, which is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, and by holding fast to it in memory, so that belief is not in vain.
Les explains that the Word of Truth is the Gospel, and the Gospel is presented in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. He notes many people, even those in church all their lives, have never heard this Gospel. Paul declares the Gospel he preached, which they received, wherein they stand, and by which they are saved. Les says if you can believe that, you have it made; it is so simple a child can understand. We are made righteous and have right standing with God if we keep in memory what Paul preached, lest we believe in vain.
