What happened to the angels that fell at Satan's rebellion?

The angels that fell at Satan's rebellion are locked up under chains of darkness and will be judged at the great white throne as rebels or unbelievers. They are distinct from the demons Jesus dealt with; the origin of present-day demons is not revealed.

Les explains that at the great white throne, men and angels will be judged as unbelievers or as rebels, and so these angels are locked up. He makes the point that the angels who fell at Satan's rebellion are not the demons Jesus dealt with and that Andre deals with. So far as Scripture is concerned, Les does not feel the origin of present-day demons is revealed. Those demons are not the angels that fell when Satan rebelled; the fallen angels are instead under chains of darkness. Les further notes that Satan, though passed out of his place of authority over that beautiful kingdom in Genesis chapter 1, verse 2, has never changed and has not given up. His whole role and reason for existing is to constantly thwart the plan of the sovereign God. As soon as God put the perfect pair in the garden, Satan came in to throw a monkey wrench into the whole caboodle, causing those human parents to sin.
