How long has human history been unfolding, and what existed before it?
Human history has been unfolding for about 6,000 years, not counting however long the universe existed before that, already spinning around. Everything has been predestinated according to God's predetermined counsel and purpose, with Christ's going to the cross planned before anything was ever created.
Les explains that human history has been unfolding for 6,000 years, and before that—however long it was—the universe was already out there spinning around. He ties this to the predetermined counsel of God: Christ came at the exact right moment in time, and His going to the cross was in that predetermined plan of the ages way back before anything was ever created. Everything has been right on schedule according to God's purpose.
