How many years will human history last, and what is the fullness of times?
Human history is expected to last 7,000 years, with six thousand already completed and one thousand years remaining. The fullness of times is the dispensation or administration when human history is brought to its full and finally winds down, still awaiting the human race.
Les explains that Ephesians 1:10 speaks of the dispensation, administration, or period of the fullness of times. In other words, it is when human history will finally be brought to the full, when it will finally wind down. He says it is felt to be 7,000 years; six thousand have already come, so a thousand years remain, which will no doubt be this fullness of times still awaiting the human race. This aligns with the earlier comment that everything begins and ends in and with God, and that He is sovereign, doing according to His good pleasure.
