If we are joint heirs with Christ, does that mean we are predestinated?

Yes. Enjoying the inheritance and being joint heirs with Christ, it follows that believers are predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will. This is a position enjoyed in Christ, known by faith, not a 'hope so' religion.

Les explains that this inheritance is not a 'hope so' or a religion but a position we enjoy in Christ. We know we are in Christ by faith: the Bible says we are, and we believe and trust it. From that position as joint heirs, it follows that we are predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will. He then considers the word 'counsel,' going back to Acts chapter 2, and defines counsel as a meeting of the minds.
