What does it mean that we are co-heirs with Christ?
Scripture teaches that believers are co-heirs with Christ, meaning they will inherit what He has and what He is. However, Ephesians 1 reveals the opposite truth: the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, which is past human understanding.
Les explains that in Ephesians 1, Paul prays for the Ephesian believers that the eyes of their understanding be enlightened, so they may know the hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Les notes that we normally speak of Christ as our inheritance and that we are co-heirs with Him, meaning we will inherit what He has and what He is. But he points out that this passage presents the opposite: the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, which is past human understanding.
