What have believers obtained in Christ?

Believers in Christ, as members of His body, have obtained an inheritance. This inheritance is tied to Christ, in whom all things, both heavenly and earthly, are brought together in Him. It is the portion belonging to those who are joined to Him as members of His body.

Les explains that verse 11 begins with the phrase "in whom," again pointing to Christ. As members of the body of Christ, believers have obtained an inheritance. Les ties this to the broader program: once the church is out of the way, God will pick up with Israel, finish the still-future seven years, and bring the coming King, who will rule and reign for a thousand years. In that reign the tenth verse is fulfilled, when all things, heavenly and earthly, are brought together in Christ, even in Him.
