What did Jesus proclaim to Israel during His earthly ministry, and how did He prove it?
During His earthly ministry, Jesus proclaimed to the nation of Israel that He was the Messiah, the Christ. He authenticated that proclamation by miracles, signs, and wonders. The King was in Israel’s midst, offering the opportunity to enter the promised earthly Kingdom.
Les explains that during His earthly ministry, Jesus was proclaiming to the nation of Israel that He was the Messiah, the Christ, and He was proving it with miracles, signs, and wonders. The Old Testament had promised a glorious Kingdom on the earth—a Heaven on earth—with Christ as the King. So the King was in the midst of Israel, and they were being offered the opportunity to enter into all these earthly promises. Yet Ephesians 1:10 indicates this could not happen until the Gentile complement, the Church, had also been completed, because in the Kingdom economy everything comes under Christ’s headship: the earthly people of Israel and their earthly Kingdom, along with the heavenly people, the Body of Christ.
