How did Jesus prove He was the Messiah to Israel?

Jesus proved He was the Messiah by fulfilling over 360 distinct Old Testament prophecies. Israel should have recognized Him the moment He began His ministry had they truly known their Bible. Their failure to recognize Him stemmed from ignorance of Scripture, not lack of evidence.

Les teaches that Christ was the object of faith Israel was expected to embrace. He came proving who He was, and Israel should have known who He was because He fulfilled over 360 distinct Old Testament prophecies. If they knew their Bible as they thought they did, they should have recognized Him the minute He began His ministry. But they didn't know their Bible. Les explains that Israel was trying to establish their own righteousness through works and rituals, keeping Feast Days and sacrifices, but without faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God, and that was true in the Old Testament economy as it is today. Les applies this by noting that many people today do religious things according to rote and ritual but without faith, and it counts for nothing.
