Where does everything start and finish?
Scripture teaches that everything starts and finishes in the mind of God. The secret things belong to the Lord, and His revealed will is purposed in Himself according to His good pleasure, as Ephesians 1:9 states. This truth is consistent from Moses to Ephesians.
Les explains that the secret things belong to the Lord our God—things nobody else knows anything about. But the things which are revealed are made known by revelation to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this Law. Moses wrote under the Law, yet he dealt with the same God we deal with, who has kept things secret until He saw fit to reveal it. Ephesians 1:9 says God made known the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself. So everything starts and finishes in the mind of God.
