What is a secret according to the Bible?
According to Scripture, a secret is something nobody else knows anything about. Secret things belong to the Lord our God. A biblical secret is a mystery of His will, purposed in Himself, kept hidden until He saw fit to reveal it.
Les explains that a secret is something nobody else knows anything about. The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed are made known by revelation, so that we may do all the words of this Law. Moses wrote under the Law, but he dealt with the same God we deal with, who has kept things secret until He saw fit to reveal it. Ephesians 1:9 speaks of the mystery, or secret, of His will, according to His good pleasure, purposed in Himself. Everything starts and finishes in the mind of God.
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
